Day 144. I Spy Mai Tai

The second piece of Dawn Frasier’s art I acquired was this beauty. I Spy Mai Tai is an original painting that Dawn remarqued for me to personalize it for the Tiki Lounge. I love that it looks like an album cover for some fictitious spy-genre record. In fact, I did use this image as the cover for one of my music compilations, A. Panda’s Exotica Lounge, which you can listen to on 8tracks if you follow the link. Mahalo, Dawn!

I think you've mentioned before how mid-century Tiki culture and the Sixties Spy Genre are highly compatible. This is another good example of the concept.
