Continuing with my spooky theme, I move to the other end of the side bar in the Tiki Lounge. At this end I have my Adventureland corner, which includes pirates and NOLA-themed stuff. It seemed like the perfect spot for Baron Samedi, my third mug by the talented Maï Baï of Paris. This voodoo witch doctor was made famous by former Haitian strongman Doc Duvalier and actor Geoffrey Holder, who portrayed him in the James Bond movie Live And Let Die. I love this depiction of him in ceramic, and the artist included one of her wooden straws and a keychain of the Eiffel Tower, to remind me where he came from. Mahalo, Maï Baï, je l’aime!
