For my birthday, my youngest daughter Lexie found a bunch of old records in a music store. She gets me! Of the half dozen vinyl treasures, this was the best of the bunch. Hawaiian Dreams by Hal Aloma was in good condition for an album from 1966: no scratches, sounds great, and the album sleeve looks good. How could it not look good with this beautiful wahine on the cover? As an added bonus, I found out that Hal Aloma was the original bandleader of Disney’s Polynesian Village house band when it first opened in 1971. Worlds colliding! This gift makes me happy.
