As far as Exotica music goes, this music genre is alive and well, with many modern musicians taking up the mantle. One of the best is The Left Arm of Buddha, an amazing band from Belgium. Named after a Les Baxter song, this ensemble includes a horn section, three female dancers, and a wacky emcee. I was fortunate to see their U.S. debut at The Hukilau in 2014. What a fun group! I immediately went out and downloaded their album, Exotica Music And Other Savage Stuff!. I then followed that up with their EP, Monkey’s Affair. This is great music that regularly rocks the Tiki Lounge. Hey hey hey!
