Day 69. Ku Tiki Mug By Maï Baï

Ku is the Hawai’ian god of war. He is one of the most popular images used in Tiki carvings. What sets him apart from other Polynesian gods is his elaborate headdress. One of the most beautiful and authentic Tiki mugs I own is this Ku crafted by Maï Baï in Paris France. I previously showed you her Seahorse Bowl, which was also a real work of art. What I love about Baï’s creations is the attention to detail she puts into her sculpting. For Ku, she shows him taking a knee, preparing for battle. I can almost hear the Hawai’ian War Chant playing in the background. Bien joué, merci Maï Baï!

Very nice! Do you know how many ounces this mug holds? I've seen some mugs that get a little crazy large. Hard to see the scale, this one looks like 12 oz or so?

Mahalo Mr. Chicken. Actually, this mug is a little bigger than that and holds 24 ozs. She is 7” tall and roughly 4” in diameter.
