Drink recipe from Jamaica circa 2001

Hi,
I'm trying to find a recipe my father used to love and still talks about to this day. It was a drink he had while at the sandels beaches resort in montego bay, Jamaica, in 2001. All I have is that it was a rum and banana drink, blended, and went by the name banana topas. I cant say for sure that spelling is correct, and I know it's SUCH a vauge description, but I figured I'd give it a shot as it would be awesome to figure out what the drink was and surprise him with it.

Thank you!

Can you recall any other ingredients? May help guide us. There are a handful of great banana/rum recipes we can recommend.

Good luck!

Unfortunately I was way to young to even know what the word rum ment, and by the time I got to Jamaica myself, I couldn't find anyone that knew what I was talking about.

All I know from my father is that it was blended, with rum and banana.

Looking at the sandals website, I see a BBC and a dirty banana, which are both possible, and I think the best course will be to make them both and have him try them to see if either of them are it, but I wanted to see if anyone else had any ideas before I did that, as it would be awesome to surprise him with the actual drink he had instead of guessing.

That said, if anyone wants to drop their favorite banana/rum drinks, I'm always happy to expand my recipe book!

sounds like it could be the dirty banana.

I've been going to Jamaica since the early nineties, and never heard of that drink. Dirty Bananas are pretty much everywhere, though. Rum, Kahlua, and of course a banana.
