First Time With New Rum

Anyone have any experience with this Rum? A friend brought it over, we have not cracked it yet. For mixing, or for sipping?

Never heard of it, but the Pilar was Hemingway's boat out of Key West. If it's named for him, it is probably good for slamming shots with F. Scott Fitzgerald during a hurricane!

It should be a sipper. Probably very sweet like a maple suryp. I have liked Pilar, but it's taste is more maple than rum.
