Ice Crushers

I snagged a vintage Swing-a-Way crusher which is built like a tank and after a test run quickly makes a good amount of crushed ice a lot quicker and quieter than my Lewis bag.

It was a little dirty, but cleaned up well after soaking in a light bleach solution and scrubbing the container and blades with a stiff brush.

Anybody have any tips on deep cleaning and maintenance for these or similar crushers? Same model pictured below:

My parents had one exactly like that. I'll have to ask them if it's still around. Great find! I love the older equipment.

As with most items from that time period, they were made to last. Nice score, I'm sure it will give you many years of service!

Never seen one of those. Cool! (Pardon the pun)

I did have one of these, though ...
