My Tiki patio/bar in the desert of south east California. Always evolving, here's how it looked last Fall.
Thanks Kahikina We got lucky with a nice big yard. I may have to make a thread for Phineas LOLAwesome! Love the water feature! Lots of space too, I'm jealous.
I've seen your Phineas comics out there, always makes me laugh.
About time you started posting here Mike. Slacker! My Tiki patio/bar in the desert of south east California. Always evolving, here's how it looked last Fall.
Kahikina the free app is called Matterport Capture. Uses your Android or iPhone for the pics. You set up a free account with Matterport that hosts and processes the images, free account allows you one "space". Learning curve is not too bad, I watched a few YouTube videos to learn how to hold camera for best results, etc. It seems to work better inside than outside, this was my 4th attempt before I got what I really wanted. Should be set for 3D Scan, not 360 Capture. The Simple Scan doesn't show the ceiling as well, select the Complete Scan. Let me know if you have questions, it was a fun project.that is amazing! Can you give us the name of the app and the steps involved with creating this? It really allows the users to get an immersive perspective of your Tiki bar! This was done with a cell phone?
(I'm going to have to fire up my Quest2 and check it out)
Thanks Jake, that's Phineas Foggcutter. He can be found hanging out on Facebook LOLI like the old soldier in the Jeep!

Very cool Kahikina! Isn't that fun to play with? You can make as many free ones as you want, you can only have one active at a time. I think I'm on my 4th or 5th version (maybe more LOL). Mine is all outside so I didn't have to transition, can't give much advise on that. I do know outside works best out of the bright sunlight. Just after sunset or on an overcast day. There is also something about 360 view vs 3D view for outside but I haven't figured that out yet.I tried out the app today. It's very cool. I'll have to keep working with it as I wasn't able to transition from outside to inside. I also think I have the lighting too bright. I'll keep working on it.

Kahikina I didn't measure, I just kinda went from one point of interest to the next. This is the latest, I have tried about 10 versions. You would think that the more points the better but it doesn't always work out like that. Also, outside it works out best just after the sun goes down. But if I shoot too many points it starts getting dark before I finish. I could split it over 2 nights for more consistent lighting but I get impatient LOLThat's awesome! Are you spacing those grabs about 4ft apart? It looks like you did about 10 feet on one shot. It turned out excellent!
