Aloha, Hajimemashite, Kia ora & Hello!
I am rather new to Tiki but have had a peripheral knowledge and appreciation for its art forms for some time, as I have been a huge fan of Lowbrow art and to a lesser extent Kustom Kulture, hot rods, et. all. I basically missed the peak of my local (Portland) third (or second or forth depending on who you ask) wave scene and never went to a Tiki Kon shamefully but have been to a few of our local bars (even though I don't drink). I do however make a mean mocktail and will crush any pupu platter I see. I am learning to carve and experiment with other crafts and will talk shop all day about skills, techniques and related history.
Mahalo, arigatou gozaimasu, tēnā koe,
Monsoon Mike
