I love Mary Blair’s art. She was a contemporary of Walt Disney’s and a huge influence on the art of Disney in the 1960s. I previously showed you this great book about her art and life. Today I share a piece of her concept art from Disney’s It’s A Small World attraction, which debuted at the 1964 World’s Fair in NYC and then became a staple at both Disney parks. Mary Blair was a big part of bringing this iconic ride to life. I’m proud to host her in my small world here in the Tiki Lounge.
