I am hoping for some insight. What do lamp builders use for the colored shade designs on these lamps? Lucite or some type of resin? I will otherwise be taking many missteps in trial and error to reach an answer. Thanks!

There's an old trick of adding colored crushed glass of a matching color to impart visual texture to the resin pour, but this isn't entirely necessary. Here's a shell lamp I did last year that involved a resin pour. It's not as complex as the examples shown above but the techniques are the same:
