I am hoping for some insight. What do lamp builders use for the colored shade designs on these lamps? Lucite or some type of resin? I will otherwise be taking many missteps in trial and error to reach an answer. Thanks!

Oh yes. Those are all poured resins. There's an old trick of adding colored crushed glass of a matching color to impart visual texture to the resin pour, but this isn't entirely necessary. Here's a shell lamp I did last year that involved a resin pour. It's not as complex as the examples shown above but the techniques are the same:
